Holy Cross Outside School Hours Care is situated on the grounds of Holy Cross Primary School and directly under the Holy Cross Church. The OSHC service comprises a large space giving students an opportunity to freely explore, engage and create individually or in small and large groups.

The service also has access to areas within Holy Cross School including the oval, basketball courts, playgrounds, relaxation room and the media lab.

Our OSHC program aims to provide the highest possible care and guidance for all children attending the service. We achieve this through strong relationships with children and families, implementing a rich program, a safe environment and high-quality educators.

The relationship between the service and families and children is of utmost importance to the success of our service. Strong relationships with families are built through open communication, trust, and a genuine partnership with families. We have an open-door policy giving families the opportunity to spend time with their child and their friends and to be involved with the day to day operations of OSHC. Strong relationships are built with children by genuinely getting to know them as individuals and providing for their interests. Taking time to genuinely listen to each child and giving them one on one time supports this aim.

Educators provide a stimulating program where children have access to a wide variety of stimulating opportunities that are developmentally appropriate and cater to the social, intellectual, physical and emotional needs and interests of all children attending the program. In an environment where individuality and independence is encouraged, children learn the complexities of living and learning in the wider community.

Our team consists of dedicated educators who are committed to ongoing professional development through training and attendance at industry-related workshops.

Our intent is to develop a home away from home atmosphere where children can relax and enjoy their time before and after school and throughout the school holiday periods.

Our service is registered with the Australian Children Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) for quality assurance and meeting the requirements of the Outside School Hours Care National Quality Framework. We are committed to continuous improvement to obtain the best possible outcome for children, families and educators.
